Winter 2021 Season Now Open!
LAUNCH STEAM League
We're making STEAM a new team sport!
Just like basketball or dance, hockey or gymnastics, now kids can enjoy seasons of STEAM activities!
The new LAUNCH STEAM League has it all – teams, coaches, a bit of competition and all things STEAM with a healthy dose of fun.
What is a STEAM League?
The new LAUNCH STEAM League brings all the best things about minor sports to STEAM programming. Kids will be in teams led by coaches having fun with all things science, technology, engineering, art and math.
Teams meet virtually in two sessions each week over a 10-week season. Coaches lead, share, encourage and inspire kids with fun activities, team challenges and maybe a few surprises along the way!
Custom STEAM kits with supplies and activities for the season – will be delivered to your doorstep.
The end of the season features our LAUNCH Tournament. Teams work together on grand challenges and compete to see which team takes home the LAUNCH Championship!

Hi everyone! My name is Kayla and I love science and learning, and I have been helping kids discover science for 10 years! When I was younger, I wanted to learn about why the world works the way it does and how everything around us interacts, so that led me to study physics. I also love travelling, baking, or settling in with a cup of tea and a good book. I can’t wait to dive into all the action with our Fall 2020 LAUNCH STEAM League!
Hello! My name is Ross, and I just completed my first year of Geological Engineering at the University of Waterloo. I love learning how engineering is used to solve problems and to keep people safe. In my free time, I enjoy mountain biking, drawing, and playing board games. I am looking forward to meeting everyone for our virtual STEAM activities this fall!
Hi everyone! My name is Amanda. I'm a student studying to become a pharmacist so I can help people take medications safely. I love exploring things like the chemistry (the science of matter) behindbaking and finding ways to make new, delicious creations. I look forward to exploring STEAM with everyone this season!
